Who it's for

Most recruitment agencies can usually recognise that a proportion of its temporary workforce are not contractors, and therefore won't benefit from an umbrella or subcontractor solution. Their normal response is to put these workers “on the books” and pay them PAYE.

In the same way that our subcontractor and umbrella services are ideal for your contractors, Zeva’s PAYE+ will suit any temporary employees who fall into the following criteria:

  • Lower paid workers (from £5.93)
  • Workers who are suspicious or don’t understand an umbrella option
  • Worker with no, or minimal expenses
  • Workers who have historically been paid PAYE
  • Workers who fail our rigorous self-employed and IR35 status checks

By Zeva fully taking on the role of employer and consolidating all your workers’ payments into a single weekly invoice, we completely remove the requirement for an agency to run its own payroll, or to outsource to multiple providers.

Sounds good, but what does it cost? Zeva has spent many years investing heavily in its infrastructure, optimising procedures and systems in order to minimise agency costs whilst maximising worker’s pay. The result – a cost to the agency of just £1 per worker per week!

Worker benefits

PAYE is a recognised method of payment, with most people sometime or other in their lives being paid under it. For workers then, PAYE is familiar, easy to understood and normal, with no complicated explanation usually required.

How it works

Recommendation - As normal, you agree a PAYE rate with your worker. You explain Zeva’s role to them and hand over our introductory Zeva PAYE + leaflet.

Registration - Zeva’s registrations department calls the worker and after carrying out an employment status check signs them up as our employee. Formal detailed employment contracts are raised which can be accepted immediately electronically. P45’s and ID’s etc are handled by us. You as the agency can monitor progress via our online administration system, Gateway.

Admin – All your agency needs to do is provide Zeva with the weekly hours and we will instantly calculate the minimum cost of employment. We raise you a single invoice there and then, with nothing else to pay, and nothing else to do.

Payment – We send the worker a confirmation text each Wednesday prior to them getting paid at their agreed rate on the Friday. A PAYE + pay slip to confirm payment is available to view or download online.
