CIS Subcontractors Services
Working as a self-employed subcontractor in the construction industry you’ll no doubt be aware that because of government legislation agencies are not allowed to pay you direct. As such, Zeva sits between you and your agency to allow you to get paid.
With Zeva CIS Subcontractor you get paid on time and within HMRC rules. You retain all the financial advantages of being self-employed, such as a reduced NI contribution; and the ability to offset legitimate expenses against your tax liability on your Self Assessment tax return; with the added advantage of being able to work on assignments for companies who will not contract with you directly.
You have however to be registered with HMRC for CIS, before you can use Zeva CIS Subcontractor. (If you’re not, just give us a call on 0808 168 2772 and we’ll tell you how to do this.)
How does it work?
As a worker in the Construction Industry we will verify you with HMRC to confirm your CIS contribution (usually 20%). We will pay your CIS contribution to HMRC and statements will be provided weekly to confirm your CIS contribution which you hand into your accountant when you do your books.
Whilst working for an agency we provide Public Liability Insurance for just £2 per week. If you have your own policy we ask for a copy. You deal with your own tax and National Insurance as normal when you do your books.
A Text message is sent to you every Wednesday to confirm your payment. When your payment has been processed the monies are transferred to your bank to clear on a Friday – guaranteed!
