Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and set out the steps that the Company has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place without our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery servitude, human trafficking and forced labour.

The Company has a zero tolerance approach and is opposed to any such worker exploitation. The Company is committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of the business or within our supply chain. The Company are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery.

Business

The Company provides outsourced labour to recruitment and contracting businesses throughout the UK.

Our Policies

The Company operates several internal policies to ensure the business is conducted in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

• Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy – this policy sets out the Company’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking within the business and supply chains. It educates employees on the action to take if they believe or suspect there has been a breach of the policy.
• Whistleblowing policy – this policy provides a mechanism for employees to report concerns about how colleagues are being treated, or practices within the business or supply chain, without fear of reprisal.
• Equal opportunities policy/statement – reflecting the Company’s commitment to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business relationships.
• Verification of identity and Right to Work – The Company undertakes eligibility checks in line with Home Office requirements to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.

Suppliers/supply chain

The Company maintains a preferred supplier list with whom detailed Terms of Business are in place. The Company expects suppliers to conform to the same standards within their own business and supply chains. Confirmation is sought from our supply chain to confirm that no part of their business operations contradicts this statement or the relevant policies.

The Company conducts extensive due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a preferred supplier. This includes an online search to ensure that the particular business has never been convicted of offences relating to modern slavery or human trafficking.

In addition, confirmation is sought from each supplier to confirm that they:

• Have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their business
• Hold their own suppliers to account over modern slavery
• Pay their employees at least the national minimum wage/national living wage (as appropriate)
• Understand and accept that termination of contract will be invoked if at any time should any instances of modern slavery come to light.

Monitoring

The Company maintains regular communication with suppliers by continually reviewing their understanding of and compliance with expectations. In addition, training is provided to employees to ensure they understand the signs of modern slavery and what to do if they suspect that it is taking place within the busines or supply chain. This is included within an employee’s initial induction and is repeated on an annual basis.
